The CW Orders Two New Sci-Fi Pilots: The Hundred and Oxygen
Alien romance and post-apocalyptic drama
The CW has placed pilot orders for two new sci-fi shows, The Hundred and Oxygen , reports TVLine .
The Hundred is set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization. A spaceship carrying the survivors sends 100 (presumably expendable) juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonising the planet. The project is based on upcoming Alloy book series by Kass Morgan, and is written by Jason Rothenberg ( Body Politic ).
Oxygen is an epic romance between a human girl and an alien boy. He’s part of a group of nine alien teens (The Orion 9) who are integrated into a suburban high school after having spent 10 years in an internment camp following their less than welcoming arrival on planet Earth. It’ been written by Good Wife scribe Meredith Averill, and Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg are on board as executive producers.
