Just what is going on in The Evil Within 2? A story trailer has given us a bit of an explanation, but if you're wondering what happened between the first game and now, you'll want to look to the printed page; specifically, a two-part tie-in comic published by Titan which will be available this September. And we've got an exclusive first look.
The story of the comic will pick up where The Evil Within left off, leading into The Evil Within 2. It's written by Ryan O'Sullivan (Warhammer 40K, Turncoat) and illustrated by Damien Worm (Dark Souls, The October Faction) and Szymon Kudranski (Spawn, Daredevil/Punisher).
"I am really excited to be writing The Evil Within for Titan Comics. I've been a fan of Shinji Mikami's survival horror games for as long as I can remember. I grew up on Resident Evil! So being able to contribute to his newest world is a dream come true," O'Sullivan said.
"The Evil Within really pushes the boundaries of what kind of storytelling you can find in games, and has absolutely influenced my approach to the storytelling in the comic book. Damien Worm and Szymon Kudranski have done some great work here."
