The first Black Panther trailer introduces us the badass world of Wakanda
The first teaser trailer has arrived for Black Panther and any reservations fans have over the not-an-origin-story-origin-movie will surely be dashed once they feast their eyes on the above. As we've already been introduced to Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther, AKA T’Challa, in Captain American: Civil War, Marvel Studios gives us a glimpse of his mysterious nation of Wakanda in the teaser.
As many fans will know as little about Marvel's fictional African nation as some of the characters in this trailer obviously do, it makes sense for the first footage to introduce us to this incredible world. Other highlights include seeing The Walking Dead's Danai Gurira kicking ass as Okoye and getting a first look at Michael B. Jordan’s baddie Erik Killmonger. And can we just talk about that El Dorado name drop? Does this mean that in the MCU, Wakanda is the location of the mythical golden kingdom? I'll have to look into that, but for now, take a look at the new poster which has been released as well:
