In the latest from Anne Fletcher ( The Proposal ) , milquetoast inventor Andy (Seth Rogen) devises an organic household cleaner that’s safe to drink.

You’d happily swig the real stuff if it meant an end to this film, which has him invite his mom (Barbra Streisand) on a cross-country sales trip so he can surprise her with an old flame en route.

Bickering turns to bonding over the course of a predictable affair that only comes to life during a Texan steak-eating contest that has Babs ingest a mountain of meat.

Might this be because it is the one scene where her character can’t talk?
