The Han Solo movie adds Woody Harrelson... possibly as a mentor?
The leak is official: Woody Harrelson will appear in the Han Solo movie, as confirmed on the official Star Wars site. The site didn't reveal any details about who Harrelson will play in the movie, though a previous report said he would serve as a mentor for the young scoundrel-in-training.
Harrelson's already established a fine repertoire of "cynical advisor" credits between The Hunger Games and Zombieland, so it's easy to imagine him shaping a young Han Solo's worldview. I can already hear Han saying something hopeful about the Force only for Harrelson's character to dismiss those "hokey religions". They're no match for a good blaster and Donald Glover at your side.
“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody,” the film’s directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller said in the article, apparently in unison. “His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.”
Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and starring Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, and Emilia Clarke, the as-yet-untitled Han Solo movie is scheduled to be released in 2018.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
