The IT trailer is here and it's chillingly, terrifyingly perfect

We all float down here, Georgie. Oh hell. The first trailer for this year's IT adaptation is here and it looks pretty incredible. While the action has moved from the '50s to the '80s for this particular Losers Club, these two minutes prove that this is a labour of love for Stephen King's masterpiece from Mama director Andrés Muschietti. Yet even from this short glimpse, we can see it's also brave enough to construct its own scares too. The opening few seconds as Georgie follows his boat down the street immediately sets the tone for what's in store. The sign for Jackson street overhead, his yellow rain slicker, everything screams dread as you know exactly what's waiting in that storm drain.

There's actually more of Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise than you might think here and a new and beautifully constructed scare involves a slide viewer as the crew check out some photos on a projector screen. IT's not pleasant. If you were afraid in the 80s, this modern horror version looks like it's going to keep you up all night. I can't wait.

NOPE.
