An N64 classic 20 years later: The Making of Turok Dinosaur Hunter

Turok: Dinosaur Hunter was released on Nintendo 64 20 years ago this week, and it remains an emblematic if not widely played game for the classic console. As one of the very first N64 games announced back in '94, Turok was both highly anticipated and deeply weird. A cutting edge first-person shooter on a home console (excitement!) based on a 1950s comic book series acquired by a second rate comic publisher in the early '90s (weird!). After two decades, lead designer David Dienstbier is looks back on the difficult, experimental nature of making an N64 game like Turok.
