Made by the creative team behind the original Japanese Godzilla, this wad of pulpy sci-fi has Japan being invaded by aliens. Despite the explicit antinuclear message, there’s little attention paid to the human characters: rather, The Mysterians is a kitschily-coloured extravaganza with enough destructive hardware and explosions to keep the fanboys frothing.
