The new Trainspotting 2 trailer shows the gang high on life. And drugs. Obviously.
Prepare for mayhem and drugs. Lots of drugs. The new international trailer for Trainspotting 2 may be as close as any of us ever get to fully experiencing a drug-fuelled binge on the streets of Edinburgh.
Once again directed by Danny Boyle, the sequel to the 1996 movie sees the gang, including Ewan McGregor’s Mark Renton, reunited and ready to wreak havoc on anything and anyone that might stand in their way.
There’s plenty of new footage to be found in the trailer, too. Renton is seen sprinting through Edinburgh town centre (running away from the police probably, the wee Scottish scamp), Mark and Sick Boy experience the highs, and lows, of heroin use and there’s even more pulse-pounding, high-octane action than you can shake a glowstick at.
The sequel is shaping up nicely: there’s a killer soundtrack, crap drug-induced dancing, and Ewan McGregor riding on top of a car. What’s not to love?
Directed by Danny Boyle and starring Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle, Johnny Lee Miller and Kelly MacDonald, Trainspotting 2 is released on 27 January, 2017.
