The Raid 2 gets a new release date
Rama will return in March 2014
The Raid 2 has announced a brand new release date, with Gareth Evans’ much-anticipated sequel set to open in the US on 28 March 2014.
The film will receive its world premiere at the forthcoming Sundance festival in January, before hitting US screens just two months later.
The new film is set to pick up the action just two hours after the first film left off, with Rama (Iko Uwais) heading undercover to infiltrate a Jakarta crime syndicate.
His family is at risk, you see, and in order to protect them, Rama must uncover a web of police corruption, while kicking some serious ass in the process.
A UK release date has yet to be confirmed, but hopefully we won’t have too much longer to wait for more of Evans’ celebrated chop-socky mayhem...
