The Skin I Live In teaser trailer
Pedro Almodovar gets creepy
The first brief teaser trailer for Pedro Almodovar’s next film, The Skin I Live In , has gone online.
Frankly, it looks like nothing he’s ever done before. The Volver and All About My Mother director appears to have gone in a brilliantly weird new direction with his latest film.
The plot sees plastic surgeon Dr Robert Ledgard (Antonio Banderas) plotting revenge on the man responsible for raping his daughter.
Meanwhile, he’s trapped his partner (Elena Anaya) in his basement and delights in tormenting her.
Check out the teaser below..
The Skin I Live In is heading to Cannes this month, where it’s sure to cause a stir. Almodovar has had success in Cannes before, so it’ll be interesting to see if he gets the same praise with a film of a distinctly different flavour.
The Skin I Live In opens 26 August.
