The Three Stooges casts Sean Hayes as Larry
Will & Grace actor becomes second stooge
Will & Grace actor Sean Hayes has joined the Farrelly brothers’ Three Stooges movie update.
Hayes, who played the role of Cher fanatic Jack in Will & Grace , has bagged the role of Larry. He's the second cast member to join the long-gestating reboot, with Will Sasso having landed the part of Curly.
For third stooge and ringleader Moe, Hank Azaria is a trades favourite, though that’s only in an unofficial capacity at present.
The Farrelly brothers’ new movie is to be split into three 27 minute segments that each follow a different stooge skit. The directors are hoping to reach the giddy heights of Dumb & Dumber in terms of cleverly-played chaos.
“Our goal is 85 minutes of laughs in a film that will be very respectful of who the Stooges were,” Peter Farrelly has said.
With Hayes involved, we’re sure he’ll get just that.
