The Top 7... WTF?! Endings, Part 2
Even more cross-eyed climaxes from gaming's gibbering psyche
MDK (PC, 1997)
The ending
After saving the planet, sniper-helmeted hero Kurt Hectic begins to plummet back down to Earth, before gliding and clinging onto a space station. Then, suddenly, he’s in a music video. A French music video. Co-starring Dave Perry, the game’s creator. Even if we gave Nostradamus access to Google, he wouldn’t have seen this one coming.
Huh?!
A music video? Well, gee, thanks and all, but that’s about as apt as serving a parking ticket at a wedding reception. Ah, what the hey, let’s dance! Logic’s overrated, anyway. The tune, in case you’re interested, is ‘Non Non Rien N'a Change’ by Billy Ze Kick.
