The Witness walkthrough & puzzle guide

Marsh

Along the coast beyond the mountain you'll find this colourful marsh covered in suspended walkways.

Head to this entrance gate to get started.

Hint: Enclose the symbol in an appropriately shaped space.

Hint: Symbol shapes can be combined in a single enclosed space.

Use the bridge controls to reach the next walkway, then head up the stairs to the next panels.

Hint: Remember to combine symbols.

Opening this side gate gives you a shortcut to the other side of this area, but for now go back down the stairs you entered from to find the next panels.

Hint: Angled symbols mean the shape can be rotated (but not flipped).

Join up two dots to rotate the bridge - head to blue first.

Follow the wire to the blue pool, where the pumps have drained the previously flooded bunker.

Hint: Hollow symbols remove blocks from solid ones.

Now follow the wire to the cyan pool to find another drained bunker.

This panel can be used to control the bridge above, if you find yourself on the wrong side of it.

Follow the wire to the red drained bunker.

Hint: It takes several moves to get through the next section.

This first move drops you down to the lower level - make sure you're stood on the central section before entering this solution.

Move into the middle then put in the second solution on the original panel.

Now move to the far side for the last solution on the new panel.

Head up the steps then swipe the lock to activate the laser, unlocking the Marsh trophy.

Go back down the steps and follow the path around to unlock a shortcut gate to the island path.

Return to the L-shaped bridge and switch to the purple path to find another bunker.

Back on the surface, activating this bridge gives you another shortcut.

You can access the boat from this point at the edge of the area.
