The Wolfman's on the move again
Release shifts to early 2010...
Were you eagerly anticipating getting to see Benicio Del Toro as The Wolfman later this year? Keep on anticipating.
Yes, the monster reboot is on the move again, despite assumptions it would arrive in November after a pin-the-tail-on-the-wolf series of release dates.
So far, the film has been scheduled for February this year, then April and its last date, 6th November across the pond.
Now American cinemagoers won't glimpse it until Valentine's weekend next year, with Wolfie howling on February 12th. Hopefully.
There's no word on why the shift - since it surely would be ready to release later in the year, but at least it gives Universal the chance to sell it before the film actually arrives.
And horror movies have been doing decent business early in the year, with Wolfman planned as a geeky relief from the tide of romantic comedies and dramas set to wash over screens that weekend.
Still, we can't help but feel disappointed that we have to wait longer...
