Assassin's Creed Origins gets its own ultra-rare Yeezys and you can win a pair

Ubisoft is really going all out on rare Assassin's Creed Origins merch, huh? First there was the $59k headphones, and now an exclusive... Yeezy shoe design. It seems like an odd pairing (because it is), and I admit I'm not a huge fan of the way the bottom flattens out and goes super wide, but honestly, they're pretty stylish.

The shoes were designed by sneaker artist Dominic Lowman of Carmeno Custom Kicks, with visual elements reminiscent of hieroglyphics and papyrus. "It’s been so cool to work with Ubisoft on designing the Assassin’s Creed Origin’s sneaks," Lowman said in a press release. "For me, sneaker culture is a perfect representation of popular culture right now and it’s been amazing to merge this with a gaming franchise to create something that is not only wearable, but rich with history and a back story."

The last time I wanted a pair of video game-themed shoes was probably way back when Soap shoes partnered with Sega for Sonic Adventure 2. What? I was 13 and the perfect age to be fall prey to their hip and cool marketing. Now I'm older, wiser, and... okay yeah, I still kinda want a pair of Soap shoes, just to say I had 'em.

The bad news is that there are only 16 pairs in existence and these shoes won't be available to purchase - you'll need to win them via competitions. The good news is that we will be giving a pair of the Assassin's Creed Yeezy sneakers away next week, so keep your Eagle vision focused both here and on Assassin's Central for details.
