A man catching a Pidgey in Pokemon Go while his wife gives birth is only the beginning of the madness
It was bound to happen. Pokemon Go has only been released a matter of days - except in the UK where we're still hitting refresh on the app store and becoming progressively more like that crying Pikachu gif - but we knew there would be some hard choices ahead. Most important moment of your life? Or catching that Pidgey that's on the bed of your wife who is about to give birth?
Jonathan Theriot didn't take long to make the decision. “As soon as it popped up, I was like, oh my gosh, there’s a Pidgey sitting on your bed!” he tells Buzzfeed news. “So, I screenshotted it, then caught it and showed it to her.” His wife, Jessica, who was waiting on a C-section, thankfully understood. “She just kind of laughed at it,” says Theriot. “It was primarily an eyeroll once she realised what I was doing.” The below image has now had over one million views on imgur.
Thankfully they didn't name their daughter anything Pokemon related but it's only a matter of time before decisions like this crop up again and other children might not be so lucky. Geodude anyone? Be afraid. Here's some other interesting places Pokemon have appeared in Pokemon Go.
