Thor's roommate could be showing up in Ragnarok
The hilarious Thor mockumentary that first premiered at San Diego Comic Con finally made its way online a few weeks ago, and it wasn't long before fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe fell in love with Thor's Australian roommate Darryl Jacobson.
While he was promoting his superb independent movie Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi revealed that we may not have seen the last of Darryl:
"I think you probably could see him again", he told IGN. There may be other little pieces of that thing that everyone saw that may just be a small part of a bigger thing".
Whether Waititi's quote is hinting at a Darryl appearance in Thor: Ragnarok or a second chapter of the 'Team Thor' short is unclear, but I'm betting on the latter. Aside from serving the character better - if Darryl does appear in Ragnarok, it will likely only be a cameo - making the mockumentary canon could prove a little tricky. We'll find out for sure next November.
Directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, and Mark Ruffalo, Thor: Ragnarok will be released in UK cinemas on October 27, 2017 before opening in US theatres on November 3, 2017.
