TL;DR - here's all the new Fantastic Beasts 2 info we have (including Dumbledore's role)
Fantastic Beasts 2 (or whatever it’ll be called – JK Rowling isn’t telling) is under 18 months away which means the hype train is about to leave the station. It’s not heading to Hogwarts though. In fact, Fantastic Beasts 2 will be a globetrotting adventure: here are all the details on plot, new characters and brand-new locations.
Pottermore has magicked up a batch of info for the Fantastic Beasts sequel and, first things first, let’s settle down with the plot. And, boy, it’s a doozy: it picks up from where the first movie left off with Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) getting captured by the Ministry of Magic with Newt leaving New York.. Spoiler: that doesn’t last long, as Grindelwald escapes and Newt is pulled right back into the thick of things. Thankfully, Newt gets a powerful ally… Dumbledore.
Dumbledore isn’t the only new face rocking up, though. Newt’s older brother Theseus will be along for the ride as well as *activates spellcheck* a bounty hunter called Grimmson, a wizard by the name of Yusuf Kama, Skender, the owner of a wizarding circus, and also one of its unnamed star attractions played by Claudia Kim.
As for those returning, Tina, Jacob, and Queenie all make a comeback plus surprisingly (or not so surprisingly if you’ve heard about the cut scene), Credence makes a return despite seemingly having been wiped off the face of the earth at the conclusion of the first movie.
Finally, the movie is said to feature New York yet again, before travelling across the pond to London and finally Paris. I cannot wait to see a Potter-fied Paris.
*Deep breath*
