TOCA Race Driver 2 review

We take on the PSP incarnation of Codemasters' realistic racer

Why you can trust GamesRadar+ Our experts review games, movies and tech over countless hours, so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about our reviews policy.

TOCA has always appealed because it strives to obtain that perfect balance between realism and gratifying racing action.

Consequentially this portable incarnation is only as good as you are. Practise diligently and drive intelligently and you'll revel in the purest race game on PSP. Drive like a Ridge Racer or NFSU fan and it'll be hate at first sight.

Perseverance counts though, and what initially seems like an exercise in frustration will slowly morph into a challenging, gripping gem.

It might not possess the 'phwoar' factor of rival racers, but take TOCA for a spin and you won't regret it.
