All You Need Is Kill has released a new image online, with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt sporting full battle armour and a healthy amount of facial grime.
Adapted from the book by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, the film sees Cruise play a soldier in an alien war who finds himself living his last day over and over, having become stuck in a time loop.
Fortunately for him, these constant do-overs have the cumulative effect of making him a much better soldier, so much so that he might just be able to cheat death and win the war after all.
Blunt will be along for the ride too, playing a Special Forces warrior responsible for slaying more alien beasties than any of her contemporaries. Together, they should make quite a team.
Directed by Doug Liman and co-starring Bill Paxton, Charlotte Riley and Jonas Armstrong, A ll You Need Is Kill will open in the US on 6 June 2014, with a UK date to be confirmed.
