With Doctor Strange casting rumours continuing to come thick and fast, Deadline reports that Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch are two of the names on Marvel's current shortlist.
With Scott Derrickson now officially confirmed as director on the project, Marvel is keen to get things moving on the casting front, with Cumberbatch and Hardy the latest names to be linked to the title role.
Johnny Depp had been thought to be the frontrunner for some time, although his name seems to have slipped off the radar in recent weeks.
Jared Leto was also linked to the role last week, although no official approach is thought to have been made. Derrickson's appointment will likely be key in speeding up the process, with the director expected to have a major input in choosing his leading man.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Justin Theroux are other names that have been thrown into the mix, but for now, Marvel is thought to have its sights trained on Cumberbatch and Hardy. One to watch…
