Tom Hardy could play both Kray twins in crime thriller Legend
He's in talks to star as the gangster siblings
In some of the most surprising casting news this year, Tom Hardy looks set to play both notorious London gangsters Ronald and Reginald Kray in crime thriller Legend .
The Dark Knight Rises star is currenlty in negotations to headline the film as the infamous, identical twins, who carved a bloody path through London in the '50s and '60s with their gang The Firm.
Legend (which is a working title, and may change) is being written and directed by Brian Helgeland, whose previous credits include stand-out crime adaptation L.A. Confidential and Mystic River , which suggests Helgeland will be delivering something unapologetic and hard-hitting.
Though a deal's yet to be struck, we'd love to see Hardy in this cray cray role.
He'll next shoot Elton John biopic Rocketman , with Mad Max: Fury Road, Locke and Child 44 already in the can.
