Tom Hardy explains additional filming on Mad Max: Fury Road
Says they are not reshoots
Mad Max: Fury Road seems to have been in production for as long as we can remember, so there was understandable consternation back in September when it was announced that three additional weeks of filming had been scheduled on the project.
However, while this might appear to be a sign that all is not well with what’s already been filmed, star Tom Hardy insists that the new filming is simply designed to capture some additional material.
“It’s great,” said Hardy when asked for an update on the film. “It’s a big piece. I’m off out there next week to do some re-shoots—well, not re-shoots actually, we're doing more. Building - building more Mad Max .”
Despite Hardy’s protestations, the film has still yet to receive a release date from Warner, with the studio seemingly watching and waiting before publically committing to an official date.
Directed by George Miller and co-starring Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, we’re hopeful that Mad Max: Fury Road will make its bow at some point in 2014…
