The first trailer has landed for Legend, the London-based crime drama chronicling the lives of notorious gangster twins, the Krays. And Tom Hardy fans are in for a treat, because the star is pulling double duty to play both Reggie and Ronnie…
The new film is directed by Brian Helgeland and will follow the twins’ exploits as they set about pursuing their dream to “rule London”. Needless to say, that dream involves a lot of people getting their bones broken.

While the East End gangster genre has been done to death over the past couple of decades, the period setting and Hardy himself means there’s plenty to set this one apart from the pack. Co-starring Emily Browning, David Thewlis and Christopher Eccleston, Legend will open in the UK on 11 September 2015, with a US date to be confirmed.
