Tom Hiddleston talks Thor: The Dark World
“He knows he doesn’t belong in the family”
Despite not being the sequel’s primary villain, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki nevertheless looms large over the recent trailer for Thor: The Dark World .
Hiddleston has taken time out to discuss what we can expect from Asgard’s troublemaker in chief, who remains a problematic figure for the rest of his family.
“Loki has a very complicated relationship with Thor,” says Hiddleston. “He is an agent of chaos without equal in the world he inhabits. He knows his true nature.”
“He knows he doesn't belong in the family of Asgard, and he's locked away in the beginning of the film in the deepest, darkest recesses of the dungeon as public enemy number one.”
As for where Loki might find himself beyond this film, Hiddleston is happy to tease a potential reunion with the Hulk…
“I do feel like there's some unfinished business between Loki and the Hulk,” says Hiddleston. “I feel like he didn't get a fair fight. You'll have to see what happens in The Dark World to find out where Loki finishes up.”
Thor: The Dark World opens in the UK on 30 October 2013.
