Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam - hands-on
An updated look at the pro skater's SSX-style racer
Up to four players can hit the concrete slopes together, though it'll all be split-screen action - no online multiplayer to speak of just yet, which isn't really all that surprising - so far, none of the Wii launch titles are sporting any kind on internet support.
It may be a complete departure from the mainline series, but Jam looks like it could easily fit in Wii's easy-to-play lifestyle. Little touches like shaking the remote to get back on your board instill memories of banging on the buttons to have your Excitebike rider trot his way back to his motorcycle - a classic moment that could easily be the most recent video game memory some people have.
