The four-player co-op mode is absolutely central to what Too Human is all about. It’s best compared to something like Diablo, where each player picks a class of avatar and heads out for some hunting-‘n’-gathering as a group. Initially, there will be five types of warrior to choose from, with extra classesavailable as downloadable content further on down the line. They include the Bioengineer (able to repair damage sustained by his colleagues), the Champion (able to attack from the air), the Bezerker (the melée expert), the Commando (demolitions man), and the Defender. He’s the “tank,” as it’s called. This means he distracts the opposition by getting the tar kicked out of him while the rest of the group plans a strategy. An interesting aside is that the Xbox Live mode allows players to drop in and out at will, but the game dynamically reacts to the relative strengths or weaknesses of the team as players arrive or take off, changing the opposition in real-time to always ensure a fair fight. Sounds too ambitious to be true, right?
