James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing demonstrates staying power as it fends off its rivals and remains at number one for the second week.
The superb Deus Ex: Invisible War is a new entry at three. Frankly, it deserved to go straight in to the top slot if the measure of success was the quality of a game. Still, hitting third place on a two-format release is good business for creator Warren Spector and publishers Eidos. The game has received some criticism from PC gamers, which is reflected in the sales breakdown with Xbox copies being responsible for 62% of all sales. If the PC fraternity come onboard with greater enthusiasm in the coming weeks, it may have a chance to be top dog yet.
There are two other top 20 new entries this week with SOCOM II performing well at number seven and the movie tie-in Bad Boys II doing itself proud by hitting twelfth place. It is also the biggest climber of the week.
We don't expect next week's releases to threaten Everything or Nothing's commanding position as the major titles hitting the shelves are mainly single format. Don't be surprised if Bond is still top dog in a week's time.
