Top reasons to be excited about Riders Republic
Riders Republic is almost here and we are ready and raring to explore these vast national parks of absolute sporting carnage. Competitive chaos awaits in Ubisoft’s latest open world but why are we so excited?
First off, it turns out that a variety of extreme sports is the true spice of life. Riders Republic gives you the choice of not just skiing or snowboarding but also bike freestyle and racing, and hands over a wingsuit and, err, rocket wingsuit for those days when standard falling with style doesn’t quite cut it.
And hopefully, you’ve packed clothes for all weathers. The sprawling open-world map is truly massive and it’s made up of a variety of US National Parks, complete with varying seasons. This means you’ll get some picture-perfect postcard moments at the same time as making the most of the sun or snow.
If the sports weren’t enough, the very real competition of more than fifty players at once should up the ante. Starting a race en masse with the mob is true joyous chaos. As well as Mass Races where you’re just trying to get over the finish line first, there’s also a Tricks Battle mode where you can join a team of other players to show off your coolest moves and take on opposing teams, and also a Free For All mode with 12 other players.
Add in a full career mode with six different progressions in either solo or PvP play and endless customisation options and Riders Republic is going to be a unique brand of sporting chaos.
