The team behind the Doctor Who Close Up exhibitions is planning a Torchwood exhibition to be up and running hopefully by July in Cardiff Bay.
Experience Design and Management has applied to Cardiff council for a Torchwood Experience to be based in a disused office building on Bute Crescent, in the middle of the Bay. In the fictional Torchwood universe, the Torchwood Hub is located under the water tower in Roald Dahl Plass in Cardiff Bay.
According to The South Wales Echo , “the exhibition would be organised over two levels, with a ground-floor entrance through a recreation of the circular Hub doorway. This would lead visitors into a reconstruction of the Torchwood team’s stomping-ground, complete with Ianto’s area and a glass-sided replica of that office belonging to Captain Jack Harkness… Upstairs will host a replica of the Cardiff Bay water sculpture and a working lift to take you into the hub downstairs.”
Also in the exhibition will be a huge monster, currently under wraps, which features in the upcoming Children Of Earth Torchwood mini series.
