Total Overdose takes GTA to Mexico
First footage and shots of SCi's tequila-fuelled Grand Theft Auto-alike
SCi have today announced the first details of Total Overdose, a GTA-style third-person actioner that will be released this summer for PC, PS2 and Xbox.
Set across stylised Mexican neighbourhoods and jungle hide-outs, the -inspired gun-fest is centred around the convoluted tale of twin brothers, undercover agents, drug cartels and "an accident with a hand grenade".
The gameplay itself, promises SCi, will allow players to, "Crash cars, shoot bad guys with style, jump bikes, fight in the street, meet girls, shoot more bad guys, hot-wire tractors, eat burritos and catch planes".
All of which sounds good to us, if a little familiar. Let's hope the end result is more than just a tequila-flavoured GTA clone.
