Toy Story 4 adds a new director
Toy Story 4 has recruited some assistance for John Lasseter, with the Pixar veteran set to co-direct the new film with Josh Cooley.
Cooley has been part of the Pixar family for a while now, having recently worked as Head of Story on forthcoming release Inside Out, and this will be his most high-profile position to date.
Details regarding the new film remain fairly scarce, although it was recently revealed that the film will not act as a direct sequel to Toy Story 3, which rounded off the existing trilogy quite nicely.
It has also been suggested that the new film will be closer to a romantic comedy in tone, with either Buzz or Woody likely to become embroiled with a new beau…
Tom Hanks and Tim Allen have yet to be officially confirmed, but both are expected to return for the new film which is scheduled to open in the UK on 14 July 2017 and the US two days later.
