Humble yourself before the Lego Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree thanks to nearly £40 off (which is almost its cheapest ever price)

This gorgeous 2-in-1 Legend of Zelda Lego set just dropped to a penny off its best price ever. Right now you can get the murky, swamp-like Kokiri Forest Great Deku Tree and the brighter, ruin-strewn woodland from Breath of the Wild (all wrapped into one, interchangeable set) for what is a single pence off a record low price.

The 2,500-piece set now sits at a £39 discount for UK folk. That's a magical £220.99 at Amazon against its usual £259.99, meaning you get a 15% discount on a set that delivers a host of awesome minifigs along with an adaptable, and frankly gorgeous, arboreal diorama. (The Legend of Zelda Lego set doesn't do things by halves.)

I've only seen the Lego Zelda set close to this price once before, in late March. It then shot back up to £259, staggered at around £235 a few days back, and is now back to just over £220. Considering how it's a contender for best Lego sets, that's not bad going.

Sadly, US Lego Zelda enjoyers will have to pay full price with the listing still sitting at $299.99 at Amazon. Still, this is a 2-in-1 set so you're basically getting it at half price already… Maybe that's just my own Lego girl-math talking.

Save £39 - While this may seem expensive at first glance, the price isn't unusual so far as Lego kits of this size go. Plus, it being a 2-in-1 design offers bonus value because you can just swap things out if you get tired of a particular version.

We're not had a chance to review the Lego Great Deku Tree set yet (it's currently on our Tabletop & Merch Editor's desk, ready to be built), but just looking at it we can see it's a fantastic offering.

For one thing, you're getting three separate Link minifigures (kid and adult Link from Ocarina of Time, and blue-topped Breath of the Wild Link), as opposed to just Link minifigs with interchangeable parts. That in itself if a fantastic offering, since Lego could have just given you different bodies to snap onto the same set of legs. But no, all four of these Link minifigs can live together in their happy treehouse home.

Aside from the interchangeable foliage and pieces to transform the Deku Tree from the N64 version to the Switch version, there are Easter eggs scattered throughout the scene, too. Alongside more obvious nods like Hestu and his maracas, you're getting the time-telling Sheikah Stone, golden Skulltula, tiny Koroks, and a cooking station for one of the three Links to use as well.
