You can currently pick up what is arguably the ultimate Star Wars kit (and one of the best sets ever, full stop) for its lowest ever price, because the Lego UCS Millennium Falcon has dipped back to its record low.

To be precise, you can grab the set for £524.99 at John Lewis rather than the usual RRP of £734.99. Even though the retailer isn't showing it as a deal, this is actually a £210 saving compared to the usual price.

Honestly, I'm just happy the offer is back again in time for Black Friday. It's one of the most sought-after kits, so being able to get it for less during this year's Black Friday Lego deals isn't something to sniff at.

Save £210 - Before this point, I don't think we'd seen the UCS Falcon for less than £536. Plus, its batting average is usually closer to £600. That makes this one of the best Black Friday discounts off the bat.

Buy it if:
✅ You want the most iconic Star Wars kit
✅ You'd like a showstopper

Don't buy it if:
❌ You're OK with cheaper, smaller versions
❌ You don't have much display space

Should you buy the Lego UCS Millennium Falcon?

Wondering whether it's worth actually diving in with this behemoth? Although the price will understandably cause a shudder to run down anyone's spine, I'd say yes - so long as you keep a couple of things in mind.

Let's get the housekeeping out of the way first. To begin with, do you have enough display space to show this thing off? It's big, so making sure you can do it justice is important. Secondly, are you OK with the smaller, cheaper versions like the Lego Millennium Falcon (75375)? If you don't mind a reduced scale, those are still excellent. Sure, you don't get all the internal rooms or minifigures, and they aren't going to make jaws hit the floor in quite the same way. But they're still excellent models on the whole and do the Falcon justice.

Still keen? I don't blame you. The Ultimate Collector kit is by far and away one of the best Lego sets. As pointed out in our Lego UCS Millennium Falcon review, "not since the ship first appeared on our screens in 1977 has the awe of the Millennium Falcon been recaptured until this UCS version. In fact, it’s the high point of the entire Star Wars Lego saga."

Basically, all of those pieces (this is amongst the biggest kits Lego has ever produced) allows for an unprecedented level of detail you won't find anywhere else. You're also getting a horde of minifigures, and aside from lacking Lando (booo, give Calrissian his due), every major character to crew this ship is here. Han. Chewie. Leia. Rey. Finn. R2-D2 and C-3PO. BB-8. I could go on.

Because it has a swappable radar dish, it can represent either the original trilogy or the sequel era too.

In other words, this is the ultimate kit when it comes to Lego Star Wars sets, and I'm unsure if anything will ever top it.
