TrackMania United - hands-on
We take another spin with the crazy-ass racer
We’ve noticed the track difficulty has been toned down from Sunrise (which was anything but noob-friendly), but the game still revels in making your life difficult with tricky landings and occasional slips in signposting. Hasty restarts enable you to start over quickly no matter how many times you screw up, which is very welcome in our eyes.
Besides all the maniacal racing you’ll be doing in United, you’ll get a daily allowance of coppers (your currency), alongside those that you earn, to spend on tracks and car skins within the community. All of which can be accessed through the game’s interface.
