Trailer released for James Francos Child Of God
First look at Franco's new directorial effort
The first trailer for James Franco’s adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s novel Child Of God has been released, and it looks set to be a tense and terrifying tale.
Set in 1960s Tennessee, the film stars Scott Haze as Lester Ballard, a dispossessed and violent man who retreats into isolation, attempting to live outside of the social order.
As he becomes more and more detached from the world, Ballard becomes more and more unhinged, descending to near primitive behaviour.
As you can see from the trailer, Haze certainly looks the part as a menacing, almost-feral loner and James Franco, who has been passionate about this directorial effort for quite some time, just couldn’t stay behind the camera either.

Child Of God is yet to receive a UK release date.
