Trailer Splash
Get your first look at Silent Hill...
If you’ve been worried that video game adaptations were forever going to fall into the hands of Paul WS Anderson and Uwe Boll, take heart.
Christophe Gans, director of werewolf action movie Brotherhood Of The Wolf, has been slaving away on Silent Hill, which from the evidence of its first trailer, looks like an entirely different animal.
Starring Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Laurie Holden, Silent Hill tells the tale of Rose (Mitchell), who discovers that her daughter is critically ill. When taking her to a faith healer, she drives through a strange portal on the road. Soon she discovers she’s trapped in Silent Hill, a hellish parallel reality and fighting for her life.
The trailer looks stylish and shocking, so fingers crossed that this game adaptation will be a cut above the normal. There’s no release date yet, but click here for the trailer.
