Tropic Thunder rumbles for Ben Stiller
He’s directing and starring in a new comedy
Ben Stiller probably didn’t need the smash success of Night At The Museum to help him get his next stint behind the camera a greenlight, but it certainly won’t have hurt it.
The man who last helmed Zoolander will be stepping both in front of the camera and behind the megaphone for Tropic Thunder. According to Stiller, it’s "a comedy about five actors who go on location and find themselves relying on their boot camp experiences when they get stuck in a real war-like situation."
Idiocracy scribe Etan Cohen and actor Justin Theroux have helped Stiller pen the script, and who wants to bet that Owen Wilson might show up – even if it’s only for a small cameo? No, us neither – it’s too easy. With luck, Mr Ben will crank his cameras this July.
