Guillermo's Baggin' Baggins?
Add yet another project to the list of movies Guillermo del Toro apparently has his eye on. According to The Hollywood Reporter the Labyrinth director is in talks with Newline to direct both Hobbit movies back to (there and) back (again). Del Toro's name is on the studio's shortlist, says the site. But how would he fit it in to a schedule which – if recent reports are true – has the director prepping such diverse projects as The Champions, At The Mountains of Madness (a Lovecraft adaptation), 3993 (a Spanish language follow-up to Labyrinth) and Hellboy III? He's even said he'd be up for directing the final Harry Potter movie. What next? "Del Toro in negotiations for Bond 27"?
