Turtles 2 casts a new Shredder
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 has cast a new actor as Shredder, with Variety reporting that Brian Tee has joined the production as the franchise's most famous antagonist.
The character was played by Tohoru Masamune in Jonathan Liebsman's 2014 reboot, but has been recast for the sequel. For those not familiar with the character, he is the leader of the ninja group known as the Foot Clan and one of the Turtles' most persistent foes.
Megan Fox, William Fichtner and Will Arnett are all on board to reprise their original roles, while Stephen Amell has also signed on to play masked vigilante Casey Jones. This week also saw Tyler Perry join the fun, with the Gone Girl star set to appear as scientist Baxter Stockman.
It has yet to be confirmed whether the actors behind the turtles themselves will be back for round two, but David Green has been unveiled as the franchise's new director. The film will open in the UK and US on 3 June 2016.
