Who Vs The Hare, the ultimate Lost theory and a peek at the first page of the Pushing Daisies comic in this week’s tweets.
What were you doing last Saturday? The correct answer is watching Doctor Who of course, but what were you doing just before settling in on the sofa? Basking in the uncharacteristically glorious April sunshine? Ducking indoors to avoid the sudden thunderstorms? Solving just one more room on Portal 2 ? If you’re Edgar Wright or Mark Gatiss you were watching the BBC’s frankly unsettling new Saturday tea-time gameshow Don’t Scare The Hare , presented by The Gadget Show ’s Jason Bradbury and starring a giant animatronic/sometime-shonky-CG bunny.
Yes, we would have much preferred to see the brilliant Lis Sladen tribute and Don’t Scare The Hare switch places too, but Don’t Scare The Hare provided ample entertainment in the run-up to the eleventh Doctor’s second coming thanks to the animated commentary between Wright and Gatiss:
@ edgarwright Will kids come back from behind the sofa for Doctor Who after Don't Scare The Hare? Am convinced this quiz will end in an ED-209 massacre.
@ edgarwright 'Don't Scare The Hare' on BBC1 looks like the first prime time game show to be made on mushrooms. I am getting a contact high.
@ Markgatiss @ edgarwright I am frightened.
@ edgarwright @ Markgatiss Can you do a DW episode where this terrifying Hare trundles off the game show set & into the Whoniverse to f**k up some Daleks?
