The second season of True Detective has released two new TV spots online, welcoming viewers back into the murk as Colin Farrell’s morally compromised cop looks into Vince Vaughn’s villainous entrepreneur.
As with the previous trailers that have been released so far, intensity is the name of the game here, as the primary cast glower and bristle with gusto. “I welcome judgment,” snarls Farrell’s character, as the line between the “good guys” and the “bad guys” becomes very hazy indeed.

Once again, Rachel McAdams looks by far and away the biggest badass on show, while Vince Vaughn is growing on us as the villain of the piece. Don’t expect his usual torrent of wisecracks in this one… Co-starring Taylor Kitsch, W. Earl Brown and Adria Arjona, the second series of True Detective will air on 21 June 2015.
