UK trailer for On The Road: watch now
Another look at the Jack Kerouac adaptation
On The Road is finally arriving in UK cinemas later this year, and a new trailer has shown up online over at MSN Movies .
Mixing footage glimpsed in first trailer with some new snippets, this one is largely narrated by Sam Riley’s Sal Paradise (the book’s stand-in for author Kerouac), who talks about the mad folk he’s drawn to.
Among that bunch are Dean Moriarty (Garrett Hedlund) and his young wife Marylou (Kristen Stewart).
Early scenes hum with a jazz-like energy, before the strains of the journey begin to show. One thing's for sure: the incredible supporting cast that the guys meet en route will be one of the main reasons to stick your thumb out for this one.
Adapted from Kerouac’s seminal Beat novel, On The Road has been a long time coming, with producer Francis Ford Coppola picking up the rights back in the ‘70s. Let’s hope it’s worth the wait.
