Trust me: you want to know how to holster your weapons in Cyberpunk 2077. Turns out, folks aren't particularly if you stroll the streets of Night City with your killing tool of choice on display. Especially if you accidentally use it with a misclick, for example. Thankfully, you can put your gun or melee weapon away by double-tapping the weapon select wheel button, which is Triangle, Y, or Left Alt by default on your platform of choice. Still confused? We've got more details on how to put your weapon away in Cyberpunk 2077 below.

Generally walking around with one of the Cyberpunk 2077 weapons out isn't a good idea. Just actively pointing a gun at people will eventually count as a crime if you keep doing it, and in some areas it will cause panic just to have one in the open.

You can avoid that by putting your gun away and holstering it with a double tap of the button you use to cycle between weapons - so Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox and left alt on PC. You can also hold down that button to bring up the weapon wheel and change things but the quickest way is a quick double tap of the that button. Just make sure it's a proper double tap or you'll just start cycling weapons if you're too slow.

It's a simple thing but, as we mentioned, it's easy to miss. I spent an embarrassing amount of time using the radial wheel to put away weapons, knowing it wasn't right but unable to remember what the other options mentioned were. I didn't then find out how to actually do it until I finally got the Cyberpunk 2077 Mantis Blades and got an extra little mini tutorial explaining how to put those away.
