How to complete the GTA 5 Wildlife Photography Challenge and unlock the Kraken sub

GTA 5 Wildlife Photography Challenge Kraken sub

The GTA 5 Wildlife Photography Challenge involves getting closer to nature, by tracking down and taking pictures of 20 different creatures that inhabit Los Santos and Blaine County. Many of these also correspond to the GTA Online animal locations needed to capture images for the LS Tourist Board for a fresh daily challenge, though that is only available for players on PS5 and Xbox Series. Either way, you'll be seeking out a variety of animals, ranging from friendly domestic pets to some truly 'wild' wildlife that you need to approach with extreme caution for your personal safety. Complete the set in GTA 5 to finish the side mission and the Kraken submarine will be yours, which will make underwater exploration a whole lot easier.

However, before you can get started on this, there's a particular Strangers and Freaks side mission you need to discover, which will initiate the challenge to photograph the 20 different animals. With that in mind, here's a complete list of exactly which animals you need to capture and where you can find them to tick off the Wildlife Photography Challenge in GTA 5.

Complete the Paparazzi Strangers and Freaks mission with Franklin

To get started, you need to complete the first Paparazzi Strangers and Freaks mission with Franklin, which is triggered in West Vinewood. With that done, you'll receive a message from Beverly telling you that he's signed you up for a photography competition in GTA 5, after which an email will come in from Los Santos Tourist Info. This contains a list of 20 animals that you need to snap a picture of for the grand prize - the Kraken Submarine! Take a clear shot of each one, email it to LS Tourist Info, and you'll be a step closer to finishing the GTA 5 Wildlife Photography Challenge.

Once you've started the mission it's basically a case of finding and photographing all the animals you need find. To do that simply work your way through this list of creatures and follow the maps to each location.
