To rotate furniture in The Sims 4, first make sure you're in Build mode. From there, you click on the object you want to rotate. Once selected, click the right mouse button to spin it. You can also use the keyboard shortcuts < or > to rotate selected items without further clicking, it's up to you.

If you're playing The Sims 4 with The Sims 3 camera style then rotate objects by holding down the left mouse button and dragging the item to rotate it instead.

How to turn furniture on PS4 or Xbox One in The Sims 4

On PlayStation or Xbox, you can turn things by entering Build mode, and then pressing R1 or L1 on PS4/5, or RB and LB on Xbox One on your chosen object.

Rotating furniture is a vital way to make the best use of whatever space your Sim has in their household. Interiors are nice to look at, but it's also important to create a flow through your home that encourages your Sims to do daily tasks, while also making sure you're not blocking them from moving around freely.
