Uncharted 4 will release on March 18, and it's gonna have story DLC
Get ready for one last half-tucked adventure: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will hit PS4 on March 18, 2016. Sony announced the release date on the PlayStation Blog, as well as the "first-ever, single-player story add-on" for the pulp adventure franchise. Sony isn't saying anything more about the single-player DLC for now, aside from the fact that it will also come with two multiplayer packs (with "rare and legendary items") in the Uncharted 4 Triple Pack.
Up until now, the Uncharted series has only ever used DLC to expand its multiplayer modes, leaving its much-praised campaigns as discrete adventures. Adding story DLC may provoke some consternation, but try to keep in mind how well Naughty Dog handled story DLC with The Last of Us. Left Behind filled in some gaps from the main campaign with an excellent story of its own, all without feeling like it was excised from the main package just to sell later - hopefully Uncharted 4 will do the same.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
