Uncharted: Fight for Fortune appears on classification site. But what IS it?
Multiplatform. Mobile dev. So... Vita and mobile game?
***UPDATE*** New information translated from the Brazilian Ratings Board by NeoGAF users suggests that the game is a casino card game, which is coming to PlayStation Vita. Not quite as exciting as we'd hoped, sadly. ***UPDATE ENDS***
Uncharted: Fight For Freedom. That is a game that apparently exists somewhere in the world and has been rated by the Australian Classification board. We're not sure why anyone bothers with PR teams any more - all the secrets get blown by these guys anyway. So what can we glean from this information? Being published by Sony, this is almost certainly a new game in the Uncharted series. But it doesn't look like a new core game for several reasons. Look:
Firstly, the developer is not Naughty Dog - it's One Loop Games. Uncharted: Golden Abyss on PS Vita may well have been handed to Sony Bend (and turned out very well), but the interesting thing about One Loop Games is it has done a lot of mobile work, notably Ratchet & Clank: Going Mobile and God of War: Betrayal, both now-ancient mobile games you can't buy for modern devices. But they're both Sony properties.
Secondly, the rating itself is a big green 'G' which is essentially equivalent to the BBFC's 'U' rating. Not necessarily for children, but suitable for all. But the rating comes with an interesting caveat: It also says 'Caution: Gaming experience may change online'.Oh, and that 'Drug Use' check? Probably health pick-ups.
So are we looking at a cartoonified, online multiplayer version of Uncharted for mobile devices? Or perhaps a cross-platform Vita and PS3 shooter? Our bet is a phones/tablets version of the game, similar to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Which was good. Thoughts? Let us know in the comments.
