Universal puts Jurassic Park 4 on hold
Wants to make sure "best possible version" is made
Jurassic Park 4 has been put on indefinite hiatus, after Universal released an official statement confirming the film had been dropped from its June 2014 release date.
Warning signs were spotted on Twitter yesterday as various crew members tweeted the now-deleted likes of "Hollywood creates and crushes dreams. Goodbye JP4" on the social networking site.
Bombarded with press enquiries, Universal released the following statement confirming that JP4 's release will be delayed...
"In coordination with filmmakers," begins the statement, "Universal has decided to release Jurassic Park 4 at a later date giving the studio and filmmakers adequate time to bring audiences the best possible version of the fourth installment in Universal’s beloved franchise.
"We could not be more excited about the vision that Colin Trevorrow has created for this film, and we look forward to watching as he and the producers create another great chapter in this franchise's storied history."
Whether or not this is just a speed-bump remains to be seen, but it looks as though we'll have to wait a little longer before seeing the T-Rex on the big screen once more...
